• यह एक वस्तुनिष्ठ प्रकार का पेपर होगा। 
• यह ओएमआर आधारित पेपर होगा। 
• परीक्षा की कुल अवधि 2 घंटे की होगी। 
• जेएनवीएसटी कक्षाएं निम्नलिखित भाषाओं असमिया, बंगाली, बोडो, अंग्रेजी, गारो, गुजराती, हिंदी, कन्नड़, खासी, मलयालम और मणिपुरी में आयोजित की जाती हैं। 
• परीक्षा उत्तीर्ण करने के लिए उम्मीदवारों को प्रत्येक अनुभाग / विषय में उत्तीर्ण होना अनिवार्य है। 
• कोई नकारात्मक अंकन नहीं है।
